Jo Darko, a rising artist out of LA, released his single, Typhoon, in September 2019. Working closely together, we took the path of creating a work that both portrayed loss, destruction, and vandalism, while simultaneously conveying energy and conviction.

LISTEN WHILE YOU LOOK HERE
HUBRIS AND REBIRTH lie at the heart of Typhoon. The foundation of the artwork is borrowed from the painting “The Fall of Patheon”, by Peter Rubens, the 17th century Flemish painter. This excerpt, taken from a much larger work, depicts Pantheon, the son of the Roman Sun-god, Apollo, plummeting to his death after failing to control the godly chariot that dictates the movement of the sun through the heavens.
Relationships. Tragedy. Pain. Vindication. Resurrection. Rebirth.
“I'm still young, but I've been here for a century. I'm so gone, all my dreams are just a memory.”
"My demons in a frenzy,

I’m so numb, tryna forget why I’m empty.”
From the Artist’s Mouth:
I’m a musician. I play guitar and write/produce songs. Mostly about nostalgia, youth, love, drugs, heartbreak… the human experience. I try and create music that communicates something deeper but is still relatable. I’m heavily influenced by classical music, hip-hop… and Cher. I just try and write music that will blow your hair back.
